If you are on the NEW CUSTOM CABLE screen, tap
the NVP panel, then go to step 4 below.
To enter a specified NVP value
1 On the home screen, tap the test setup panel, tap a copper
test, then tap EDIT.
2 On the TEST SETUP screen, make sure that the Cable Type is
correct.
3 Under the Cable Type, tap NVP.
4 On the NVP screen, use or to change the NVP value.
5 Tap DONE, then tap SAVE.
Find a Cable's Actual NVP
To find a cable's actual NVP, you can use the NVP screen to adjust
the measured length to match a known length of cable. The NVP
value applies to the selected cable type.

1 On the home screen, tap the test setup panel, tap a copper
test, then tap EDIT.
2 On the TEST SETUP screen, make sure that the Cable Type is
correct.
3 Under the Cable Type, tap NVP.
4 Attach a channel adapter to the tester.
5 Connect a known length of twisted pair cable to the tester.
The cable must be a minimum of 30 m (100 ft) long.
