Installing an SFP Fiber Adapter
1 With the instrument turned off, remove the protective
cap as shown in Figure 9.
2 Insert the fiber adapter, making sure that it is firmly
seated into the connector.
WWarning
SFP fiber adapters are Class 1 laser light-emitting
products. To prevent injury to the eyes, avoid
staring into the SFP module while the
EtherScope Network Assistant is on.
Removing an SFP Fiber Adapter
1 Make sure the instrument is turned off.
2 Press the release tab located on the back of the adapter.
Caution
To avoid damage to the adapter, do not pull the
fiber adapter without pressing the release tab.
