Using the Desktop Tools
EtherScope Network Assistant is packaged with a number of
tools to increase your productivity.
Applications Menu
To display this menu, tap
then select Applications.
Calculator: performs basic arithmetic operations,
such as addition and subtraction.
Calendar: provides weekly and monthly views for
scheduling events; a Notes function enables you to add
information about an event.
Clock: displays the time currently set on the
instrument; includes a stop watch and alarm function.
To change the time, see “Setting the Time and Date”
on page 13.
EtherScope Console: provides a command-line
interface and terminal emulation (Telnet).
EtherScope Network Assistant: displays the top-
level user interface screen (Test Results).
File Manager: displays the contents of the
CompactFlash memory card where reports are stored.
Report Viewer: displays a saved report.
Server Response Tool: tests application server
connectivity and responsiveness. You can identify, save,
and test up to 100 server/port pairs.
