Chapter 4: Operation
4.1 PREPARATION FOR USE
Do not attempt to operate a newly delivered machine before complying with the
preparation for use instructions. The operator must be thoroughly familiar with the
operating and safety instructions before using the machine.
General
The machine has been lubricated, adjusted and tested by the manufacturer prior to
delivery; however a new unit must be properly prepared for service by carrying out the
daily checks.
NOTICE
When the machine is new, the hydraulic oil level may drop during initial use.
Regularly check the level and top-up until the level settles at the bottom of the
tankwhen cold. If a top-up is required, thoroughly clean around the filler cap
before removing to help prevent debris falling into the oil tank, top up as
required and replace the filler cap.
