7.1 Remote Management Overview
The ETERNUS CS800 provides a powerful Web-based user interface that allows you to
configure and manage the system from a remote workstation on the same network as the
ETERNUS CS800.
Use the ETERNUS CS800 remote management console to perform the following tasks:
l Set up the ETERNUS CS800 using guided procedures (see "Configuration Wizards" on
page 132).
l View important system information at a glance (see "Home Page" on page 174).
l Manage data replication activities (see "Replication" on page 340).
l Monitor hardware status and system performance (see "Status" on page 381).
l View administration alerts and resolve service tickets (see "Alerts" on page 407).
l Configure storage presentation, data replication, and system settings (see
"Configuration" on page 187).
l Run diagnostic tools and maintain the system (see "Utilities" on page 415).
7.2 Accessing Remote Management
Access the remote management console using a Web browser on a workstation that is on
the same network as the ETERNUS CS800.
Supported Browsers
Web browser software is not included with the ETERNUS CS800. You must obtain and
install it separately. The ETERNUS CS800 remote management console supports the
following Web browsers:
l Mozilla Firefox 17 or later
l Google Chrome 21 or later
