2 Before unpacking the equipment rack, inspect the container (see Figure 4-6 [p. 4-11]) for
signs of shipping damage. Claims for shipping damage must be filed with the transportation
company in accordance with their published procedure.
Note: A shipping label is located on the front of the equipment rack container. Compare this with the
shipping documents.
3 Is this the correct shipment for this location?
If YES:
Continue with Step 4 [p. 4-11].
If NO:
Go to Step 16 [p. 4-13].
4 Using all data sheets and job engineering drawings, verify that the information matches the
installation site.
5 Using industrial shears, cut the two shipping bands from the container. See Figure 4-6
[p. 4-11] for the location of the shipping bands.
After the last shipping band is cut, the top of the shipping container will fall away.
6 Use a pry bar to remove the lid of the crate to access the ETSI rack. See Figure 4-6 [p. 4-11].
7 Remove the equipment rack.
8 Inspect the rack thoroughly to ensure that it is not damaged.
