Figure 4-18 [p. 4-35] shows a right-side view of the SFD6 shelf after the flange is mounted.
6 Install the SFD6 shelf in the rack directly above the heat baffle. Secure the shelf to the rack
using three rack mounting screws on each side of the shelf.
Note: If hole alignment does not permit three screws on each side, it is acceptable to secure the shelf
with only two screws on each side.
7 Install the DCM units using the following steps:
a. Locate the appropriate units to be installed and remove them from their protective ESD
packaging.
b. Loosen the thumbscrews and remove the faceplate/cover from the shelf.
c. Carefully slide each DCM unit into the appropriate shelf slot.
d. Replace the cover and tighten the thumbscrews to secure each unit in the shelf.
This procedure is complete.
