Maintenance & Service
Test the battery:
1 Switch the AC ON/OFF switch OFF.
► i.C³ screen should continue to display information with reduced brightness
► The battery icon will appear on the screen
► If the Low Battery alarm activates, or the display is blank, replace the battery
2 Switch the AC ON/OFF switch ON.

Monitoring System / Access Control Backup Battery
NOTICE Replacement battery must meet the following specications: 12V, 7Ah, rechargeable,
sealed, lead acid. Contact Haemonetics

Required tools:
► #2 Phillips screwdriver
► 4’ ladder or step stool
Replace the battery:
1 Switch the i.C³ battery ON/OFF switch OFF. Switch the AC ON/OFF switch OFF.
2 Disconnect the power wires from the battery terminals.
3 Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws securing the battery strap to the top of the
compartment.
4 Remove the strap and set it aside.
5 Remove the battery from the HaemoBank™.
6 Place the new battery on the top of the compartment, in the same orientation as the original battery.
7 Place the strap over the battery.
8 Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, install the screws to attach the strap to the top of the compartment.
9 Connect the power wires to the battery terminals, ensuring the wires are connected to the correct
terminals:
► Red (+) wire connected to the red (+) battery terminal
► Black (-) wire connected to the black (-) battery terminal
10 Switch the AC ON/OFF switch ON. Switch the i.C³ battery ON/OFF switch ON.
9.3.3 Check the Access Console Backup Battery
Check the battery:
1 With the BloodTrack
®
kiosk operational, switch the HaemoBank™ AC ON/OFF switch OFF.
► BloodTrack
®
kiosk should continue to display information
► If the display is blank, replace the battery
2 Switch the HaemoBank™ AC ON/OFF switch ON.
9.3.4 Replace the Access Console Backup Battery
