10.3 Trouble Shooting

If the unit is not functioning properly, check the "Troubleshooting" list. If a
problem is found, contact your dealer or HIOKI representative. Pack the unit
carefully so that it will not be damaged during transport, and write a detailed
description of the problem. HIOKI cannot bear any responsibility for damage
that occurs during shipment.
Symptom Confirmative items
Even the power is turned on, the
display does not light.
Is the power code connected correctly?
Has the power fuse blown?
Are the power voltage and the power shown on the 3227 the same?
Even the measurement leads are
shorted in the resistance
measurement mode, NG is
displayed.
The unusual resistance
measurement value is obtained.
Has the circuit protection fuse blown?
Has the measurement leads ruptured?
Is the measurement leads wired correctly?
Has the power supply frequency been set correctly?
When using the comparator, isn’t the comparison by the standard
value/range executed? In this case, the measurement value
displays the deviation for the standard value.
Is the temperature correction function used?
While using the temperature correction function, has the standard
temperature and the resistance coefficient been set correctly?
Has the zero adjustment been executed?
Has "error 93" been generated in the self test at the time of
turning on the power supply?In this case, the calibration data
error is generated, and the 3227 needs repair.
The temperature measurement
mode is unable to set. Or, the
temperature correction is unable to
execute.
Has the 9188 been connected correctly?
Has the 9188 been ruptured?
The keys do not work. Is the 3227 in the key lock state?
Is the 3227 in the remote state?
The measuring ranges are unable
to change by the key operations.
Has the selecting input of the measuring range on the external
control terminal been connected to either open or VCC?
The comparator is unable to
execute by the key operations.
Has the selecting input of the comparator table on the external
control terminal been connected to either open or VCC?
GP-IB works incorrectly. See Section 8.8, "Notes on GP-IB Interface."
The printer works incorrectly. Has the printer cable been connected correctly?
Has the power of the printer been turned on?
Has the printer been prepared to use?
Has the print paper been set?
The other symptoms Try to execute the system reset.
See "7.1,"System Resetting", for the system reset.
