To avoid electric shock when replacing the fuse, first disconnect the
power cord from the object to be measured.
Be sure to dispose of used batteries according to their type in the
prescribed manner and in the proper location.

0.2 Disposing the Unit
The 3227 uses a lithium battery as the power source for the memory to back
up the settings. If you intended to dispose the unit, you should first dismantle
the unit, and remove the lithium battery.
(1) Tools needed to dismantle this unit:
Plus screwdriver
Radio pliers
(2) How to dismantle the unit:
1. Remove the four retaining screws which hold on the upper case of this unit,
as shown below.
2. Pull up the upper case straight upwards, and take it off.
3. Cut away the coin shaped lithium battery which mounted on the print
circuit board, wrenching it out with the radio pliers.
4. Dispose of the lithium battery according to the manner prescribed by the
component authorities in your locality.
