3.7.2 Verify in CalTool
For initial installations of the Affirm system or after adding the Lateral Arm upright
biopsy accessory, do the following verification:
1. Launch CalTool (CalTool.bat) from the normal location/directory.
2. Click AdvancedForm.
3. In the upper left Nodes section, verify the compatibility of the BCM and BGM node
versions against the latest node matrix for the level of software on the system.
4. When the biopsy paddle for the Lateral Arm (ASY-05205) is installed for the first
time, perform the Paddle Height Offsets calibration in CalTool.
a. Under Compression in the CalTool taskbar, select the Paddle Height Offsets
calibration.
b. Follow the steps outlined in the tool to calibrate the 15-cm Lateral Arm paddle
offset.
5. When finished, exit CalTool and reboot the computer.
3.8 Installation and Removal of Accessories
3.8.1 Tabletop Stand for Affirm System
Mount the Tabletop Stand
Caution:
The Affirm system Tabletop Stand is not for mobile applications.
Mounting the tabletop stand to a permanent location is optional.
The stand is secured to a flat surface using four screws through holes in the base of the
stand.
1. Place the stand in the desired position on a flat surface.
2. Using the appropriate hardware, secure the stand to the surface through the holes in
the base of the stand.
