10. When the 12 exposures are complete, rotate the C-arm to 0°. A message on the
Acquisition Workstation is displayed to complete the following procedure:
• Attach the 5 x 5 cm Standard Biopsy Paddle in the Compression Device and lift
the paddle.
• Place the Geometry Phantom ASY-02042 flat on the breast tray, with the lower
phantom plane flush with the chest wall edge of the tray, and centered on the
tray.
• Compress the Biopsy Paddle on the phantom to a displayed force of 20 ±2 lb.
Ensure that the bottom surface of the Biopsy Paddle around the window is in
uniform contact with the top surface of the phantom.
11. Press End QC to end calibration.
12. Remove the phantom.
4.5.2 STX Calibration for Lateral Approach
Required Tools/Equipment
• Lateral Arm Module and Removable Mount
• QAS Needle Assembly (ASY-03949)
• Acquisition Workstation (AWS) Application
Procedure
1. Install the Biopsy Guidance Module on the Gantry and lock in place. Connect the
Biopsy Control Module and apply system power.
2. If present, remove (slide out to the bottom) the needle guide holder slide rail used on
the standard biopsy device mount.
3. Log in as Service user.
4. On the Select Patient screen, select Admin, then select Lateral STX Calibration.
5. Follow the prompts to install the Lateral Arm on the Biopsy Guidance Module.
6. Remove the Lateral Arm needle guides.
7. Install the QAS needle on the Lateral Arm.
8. Move to the first target by doing the following:
a. Press the motor enable buttons on the Biopsy Control Module to move to the first
XY position.
b. Use the manual Z knob to move to the Z position.
