The Hounsfield unit is a quantitative scale for describing radiosensitivity relative to
water, defined as 0, and air, defined as -1000. It is frequently used in CT scans. Simply
place the cursor over the area you want to measure. The following images show the
Hounsfield Units for a fatty region, denser fibrous tissue, and a calcification, respectively.
