2. Install the Kensington security lock.
Removing and replacing the rack rails
Procedure
1.
If installed, remove the bezel.
2.
Power down the server.
3.
Remove all power:
a.
Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b.
Disconnect each power cord from the server.
4.
Remove the server from the rack.
5.
Place the server on a sturdy, level surface.
6.
Optional: For threaded hole rack, remove the screws that secures the rail to the rack.
7.
Remove the rail from the rack.
IMPORTANT: When removing the rail from the rack, always remove the front of the rail first.
