Reimaging a StoreVirtual 3200 Storage
IMPORTANT:
The reimaging process permanently clears the system of all data and configuration settings. Before
proceeding, make sure that any data that must be retained is backed up.
Prerequisites
A Windows 7 or later system to connect to the StoreVirtual 3200 Storage system.
Administrator rights on the Windows system.
At least one USB port, but preferably two, available on the Windows system.
Physical access to the StoreVirtual 3200 Storage system.
The Windows system and StoreVirtual 3200 Storage system in close enough proximity to connect a
USB-to-micro-USB cable between them.
One USB-to-micro-USB cable.
A FAT32-formatted USB thumb drive with a single partition and at least 1 GB of free space.
The StoreVirtual 3200 Storage system is powered on.

Downloading the storage field image
Download the HPE StoreVirtual Storage field image from Software Depot to the Windows system and
extract the files to the USB thumb drive.
Procedure
1. Download the image from Software Depot to the Windows System.
a. Go to the Software Depot website:
https://www.hpe.com/support/softwaredepot
b. Expand the Storage category, and then select HPE StoreVirtual Storage.
c. Click Select beside HPE StoreVirtual Storage.
d. If requested, enter your HPE Passport credentials.
e. Fill out the requested information, accept the software license terms, and click Next.
f. Download the HPE StoreVirtual 3200 Field Restore Image zip file.
2. Insert the USB thumb drive into one of the USB ports on the Windows system.
