8. Wait for the system to return to a green status.
NOTE:
At this point, the system might indicate a critical alarm regarding quorum. The alarm can be
safely ignored until this procedure is completed for both controllers.
9. Repeat steps 3 through 8 for the storage controller in slot 2.
To undo these changes, perform steps 1 through 9, but in step 4, select svicl0 from the StoreVirtual
OS Interface drop-down menu.
Configure management and data traffic on different subnets
The following procedure uses the MGMT port. The system also supports using bonded 1GbE interfaces
for management traffic on a 10GbE system.
The controller modules in an HPE StoreVirtual 3200 Storage system have a management port (MGMT)
that can be used for management traffic on systems running StoreVirtual OS 13.5 or later. Use of the
MGMT port enables the separation of management traffic and data traffic onto different subnets.
The MGMT port is the physical Ethernet connection on the controller module. The MGMT port is a 10/100
Ethernet connection to an internal switch on the controller module that, in turn, provides direct access to
the StoreVirtual OS, the remote management processor of the controller module, and the internal switch
on the other controller module in the same enclosure.
