• Stop Remote Copy and allow any Remote Copies that are in progress to complete.
• Record the current IP addresses for all the configured network interfaces. You will use these IP
addresses to maintain connectivity to the system while the network connections are being changed.
IMPORTANT:
Keep a list of the current IP addresses and, after changing them, record the changed IP
addresses. You may need them for troubleshooting if any issues arise.

Changing the bond IP address on a single storage system
Prerequisites
Changing the bond IP address on a single storage system can be done if the new IP address meets one
of the following conditions:
• The new IP address is on the same subnet or can be reached from the existing storage system using
routing.
• The new IP address is not reachable from the current subnet, but both storage controllers are
configured to use svicl0 as the StoreVirtual OS interface traffic type.
Procedure
1. Use a web browser to connect to the IP address for storage controller 1 (SC1).
2. Log in to the StoreVirtual Management Console (SVMC).
3. On the StoreVirtual menu, select Storage Controllers.
4. Select storage controller 2 (SC2) and then select Actions > Edit bond.
5. Change the IP Configuration to the new settings and click OK.
The Tasks window opens and you can verify that the change completes successfully.
6. To avoid communication issues with the SVMC, use a web browser to connect to the new IP address
for SC2.
