3. Right-click the downloaded field image and select Extract All… from the menu.
4. In the pop-up window, click Browse…, select the USB thumb drive, click OK, and then click Extract.
5. After the field image zip file is extracted, the USB thumb drive will have the folders:
boot
root
6. Right-click the USB thumb drive in the File Explorer window, select Eject from the menu, and then
remove the USB thumb drive from the Windows system.
Configuring serial port connections
Procedure
1. Use the USB-to-micro-USB cable to connect your Windows system to the Service port for the top
controller of the StoreVirtual 3200 Storage system.

2. On the Windows system, open the Device Manager and expand Ports (COM & LPT1).
There should be a minimum of four ports labeled USB Serial Port (COM#), as shown in USB serial
ports in Windows Device Manager. COM port numbers might vary from the numbers shown in the
figure.
