4. Fasten the UID health module using the retaining screw.
5. Install the enclosure cover and press the hood latch down to engage the latch.
6. Install the enclosure in the rack.
7. Tighten the front retaining screws.
8. Install fan module 2. See Installing a fan module on page 99.
9. Reconnect all cables to the enclosure, including the power cables.
Verifying UID health module operation
Procedure
When the enclosure has completed its power on sequence, check all enclosure status LEDs to ensure
the enclosure is operating properly. For more information, see Status LED descriptions on page 15.
Replacing the enclosure backplane
Before you begin
The procedure should be performed only if Hewlett Packard Enterprise Support has determined that the
enclosure backplane has failed and must be replaced.
CAUTION:
This procedure requires removing the enclosure from the rack. Before removing the enclosure,
ensure that data on the system is backed up. Back up data if necessary.
Removing the enclosure backplane
Procedure
1. Disconnect all cables from the enclosure, including the power cables.
2. Loosen the rear CTO hold-down bracket.
3. Loosen the captive CTO screws (2) behind the latch (1) on the front left and right bezel ears of the
enclosure.
