7. Repeat these steps for the bond on storage controller 1 (SC1).
8. If the new IP addresses are on a different subnet, update the VIP addresses to the new subnet.
a. In the SVMC, from the StoreVirtual menu, select Storage Pools.
b. Select the storage pool and then select Actions > Edit.
c. Change the Virtual IP and Subnet mask.
9. After all the IP addresses have been changed, update the following settings on the storage systems,
as needed:
a. Verify that the StoreVirtual Management Console is accessible from all the network interfaces.
If the storage system has not been configured in a Management Group using the Configuration
Wizard, then it is only necessary to verify that every IP address is accessible from the SVMC.
b. On iSCSI systems, ensure that the iSCSI initiators on all hosts have been updated to use the
correct IP addresses and/or the VIP for target discovery.
c. Verify on all controllers the DNS servers, proxy server, System Time (NTP), and SNMP settings.
d. Change any Remote Associations and Remote Copy configurations.
e. Update any external tools such as system monitoring and backup.
Changing the bond IP address on scaled-out storage systems
Prerequisites
The new IP address is on the same subnet or can be reached from the existing storage system using
routing.
Procedure
1. Use a web browser to connect to the IP address for storage controller 1 (SC1) on storage system 1.
2. Log in to the StoreVirtual Management Console (SVMC).
3. On the StoreVirtual menu, select Storage Controllers.
4. Select storage controller 2 (SC2) on storage system 1 and then select Actions > Edit bond.
5. Change the IP Configuration to the new settings and click OK.
The Tasks window opens and you can verify that the change completes successfully.
6. To avoid communication issues with the SVMC, use a web browser to connect to the new IP address
for SC2 on storage system 1.
7. Repeat these steps for the bond on storage controller 1 (SC1) on storage system 1.
8. Follow this same procedure for storage system 2, as well.
9. If the new IP addresses are on a different subnet, update the VIP addresses to the new subnet.
