HPE StoreVirtual 3200

The management interface (eth2) is the network interface as seen in the SVMC that connects through the
internal switch of the controller module to the MGMT port.
A MGMT port is on each controller module to the left of the 1G-2 port.

The MGMT port can be configured on all HPE StoreVirtual 3200 Storage systems.

NOTE:
The MGMT port cannot be used in configurations using a single subnet.
After you disable networking on the remote management processor and complete the StoreVirtual OS
network configuration, you can use the MGMT port for management traffic. The MGMT port on both
controller modules must connect to network switches on the same subnet to achieve high availability. The
failure of a network path to the MGMT port on a controller module prevents access to the management
interface (eth2) for that controller module. When the network fails, use the hostname or IP address of the
management interface (eth2) on the other controller module to access the system using the SVMC.
The StoreVirtual 3200 Storage must be running StoreVirtual OS 13.5 or later. For the best runtime
experience, Hewlett Packard Enterprise recommends keeping StoreVirtual 3200 Storage systems up to
date with the latest StoreVirtual OS versions and patches.
