3. Did the Recovery Guru direct you to replace a failed power supply?
v Yes: Go to step 4.
v No: Run the Recovery Guru to identify the failed component, and then go
to step 4.
4. Unpack the new power supply. Save all packing material in case you have to
return the failed power supply.
Note: The new power supply comes with an instruction sheet and label sheet.
The instruction sheet provides instructions for placing the correct labels on the
power supply to mark the LEDs correctly. The label sheet contains the peel-off
labels that you actually place on the power supply.
5. Using the information on the instruction sheet, place the labels on the power
supply to correctly mark the LEDs.
6. Turn off the power switch on the new unit.
7. Check the fault LED to locate the failed power supply. If a fault is detected,
the amber fault LED is lit.
8. Ensure that the OK to remove LED is lit. Do not remove the power supply if
the LED is off. For more information about the OK to remove LED, see “OK
to remove LED” on page 105.
