4. Carefully insert the open end of the LC-LC cable into an SFP module that is
installed in the storage subsystem. The cable connector is keyed for correct
installation. Holding the connector, push in the cable until it clicks into place,
as shown in Figure 29.
5. Remove the two protective caps from the other end of the LC-LC cable. Save
the protective caps for future use.
6. Connect this end of the LC-LC cable to one of the following devices:
v An SFP module that is installed in a Fibre Channel switch port
v A Fibre Channel host bus adapter port
Removing an LC-LC Fibre Channel cable:
To remove an LC-LC Fibre Channel cable, complete the following steps.
Attention: To avoid damaging the LC-LC cable or SFP module, ensure that you
observe the following precautions:
v Press and hold the lever to release the latches before you remove the cable from
the SFP module.
v Ensure that the levers are in the released position when you remove the cable.
v Do NOT grasp the SFP module plastic tab when you remove the cable.

adapter, press down and hold the lever to release the latches, as shown in
