4. In the Create Partnership window, indicate the partnership type, either Fibre Channel or
IP as shown in Figure 10-94.

5. For Fibre Channel partnership, select an available partner system from the drop-down list.
If no candidate is available, the following error message is displayed:
This system does not have any candidates.
a. Enter a link bandwidth in megabits per second (Mbps) that is used by the background
copy process between the systems in the partnership.
b. Enter the background copy rate.
c. Click OK to confirm the partnership relationship as shown in Figure 10-95.

6. You will get a confirmation window as shown in Figure 10-96 on page 597.
Note: If you choose IP partnership, you must provide the IP address of the partner system
and the partner system’s CHAP key.
