This task assumes that the following conditions were met:
⢠The expansion enclosure is slid out from the rack, as described in âRemoving an expansion enclosure
from a rack: 2076-92F â on page 83.
⢠The top cover was removed, as described in âRemoving the top cover: 2076-92F â on page 46.
Procedure
1. Identify the secondary expander module to be replaced; refer to Table 13 on page 94.
2. Press the release buttons on top of the secondary expander module to release the handles.
3. Rotate the handles outward to the unlocked position.
4. Lift the secondary expander module carefully out of the enclosure, as shown in Figure 104 on page
95.

Important: To avoid electric shock after you remove the secondary expander module, do not touch
the connectors inside the enclosure (FRU P/N 01LJ112), which are shown in Figure 105 on page 96.
