Viewing System Information
From the Web User Interface: Monitor System → System Summary
This menu item gives information on the overall health of the library, as well as,
the current assignment of I/O slots, drives, cleaning cartridge slots, and storage
slots.
Accessing the Setup Wizard
From the Operator Panel: Setup → Setup Wizard
For information on using the Setup Wizard, refer to Chapter 6, “Configuring the
Library,” on page 6-1.
Library Verify Diagnostic Tests
From the Operator Panel: Tools → Service → SystemService → System
1. Follow the menu path shown above.
2. Touch Yes to take all logical libraries OFFLINE.
3. Select Library, then choose one of the following diagnostic tests and follow the
on-screen instructions:
v Robotics - tests the library robotics (see “DR005: Motion Failure Diagnostic (a
Library Verify Test)” on page 10-31)
v I/O - tests the open/close and lock/unlock sensors of the I/O Station doors
(see “DR011: I/E (I/O Station) Lock Diagnostic (a Library Verify Test)” on
page 10-33)
v Bar code - tests the ability of the bar code scanner to read an internal library
bar code (see “DR007: Bar Code Scanner Diagnostic (a Library Verify Test)”
on page 10-32)
v Drive - tests the read/write function of a selected drive; a scratch (blank)
cartridge is required for this test (see “DR006: Drive Diagnostic (a Library
Verify Test)” on page 10-32)
v Door - tests the open/close sensors of the Access Doors (Each Access Door in
your library must be tested individually. After closing the Access Door just
tested, wait until the library inventory is complete before running the next
test or resuming normal library operations.)
4. Touch Back to return to the System Diagnostics screen.
5. Touch Back to return to the Library Offline screen.
6. Touch No to exit the bringing logical libraries OFFLINE screen.
7. Touch Back to return to the Service menu screen.
