Replacing the power paddle module
Use this information to install the power paddle module.
About this task
To install the power paddle module, complete the following steps:
Procedure
1. Read the safety information that begins on “Safety” on page vii and
“Installation guidelines” on page 283.
2. Turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect the power cords and
all external cables, if necessary.
3. Remove the top cover (see “Removing the top cover” on page 146).
4. Grasp the handle and align the power paddle module with the connector on
the system board. Push the power paddle module to the system board and
make sure it is firmly seated.
5. Replacing the power supplies (See “Replacing a power supply” on page 229).
6. Replacing the top cover (see “Replacing the top cover” on page 147).
7. Slide the server into the rack.
8. Reconnect the power cords and all external cables, and turn on the server and
peripheral devices.
