7.2.4 Replace carbon brushes
Note
The carbon brushes are located under plastic caps outside each motor. This makes them easily
accessible so that they can be replaced without removing the motor.
Always replace the carbon brushes on both motors.
• Carefully remove the plastic cap (1) on the
motor with the screwdriver.
• Remove the plastic cap (1) and the carbon
brushes (3).
• Insert new carbon brushes (3) through the
openings (2) on the motors. In doing so, the
spring must face upwards.
• Carefully screw in the plastic cap (1) on the
motor with the screwdriver.
