7.12.2 Replacing the anti-tipping mechanism with locking spring
CAUTION!
Danger of tipping over if the anti-tipping mechanism is installed using a locking spring on
a chair with a lifter.
• Always install the anti-tipping mechanism using a screw in the first drill hole (long adjustment)
on a chair with a lifter, as described in chapter 7.12.1.
Requirements:
bolts in the support tube (3) are visible.
• Pull the anti-tipping mechanism out (1).
• Check the locking spring.
• Replace the locking spring if it is broken or
has insufficient tension.
• Replace the anti-tipping mechanism.
• Insert the (possibly new) locking spring (4)
into the anti-tipping mechanism up to the
second hole.
• Insert the anti-tipping mechanism into the
support tube. To do this, press the locking
spring together slightly.
• Insert the anti-tipping mechanism into the
support tube as far as it will go.
• Make sure that the locking spring latches into
the holes provided for this purpose in the
support tube.
