Battery Replacement
SHOCK HAZARD Only qualified, service-trained personnel who are aware of the
hazards involved should remove instrument covers. Always disconnect the power cable
and any external circuits before removing the instrument cover. Some circuits are
active and have power for a short time even when the power switch is turned off.
The internal battery powers the system clock. The primary function of the clock it to provide time
stamp information for the BenchVue Power Control and Analysis Software. If the battery fails, the time
will not be available for the software. No other instrument functions are affected.
Under normal use at room temperature, the lithium battery has a life expectancy between seven and
ten years. Note that battery life will be reduced if the instrument is stored for a prolonged period at
temperatures above 40 degrees C.
The part number of the battery is Panasonic CR 2032.
