Communication
fails.
Communication settings are
incorrect either at the InTouch or
the host PC.
1. Access Maintenance mode.
2. Tap Communication Settings.
3. Check and, if necessary, correct the Device
ID and IP Address. These settings must match
the settings entered for the InTouch in the
host application.
4. Check the Gateway, Subnet Mask, and DNS
IP Address settings. Ensure that the IP
address is appropriate for the Subnet Mask
and Gateway settings.
5. If DNS is enabled, ensure that the DNS server
is running.
6. If the Comm Mode prompt is set to Device
Initiated, also ensure that the following
prompts are set correctly: Primary Server,
Primary Server Port, Primary Server Instance
ID
Important: These settings must match the
corresponding settings in the host application.
If the password feature for the InTouch is
enabled in the host application, the password
you set in the host application and at the
InTouch (Primary Server Password, Verify
Password) must match.
If the password feature is disabled, a
password must still be entered at the InTouch.
Any combination of 6 to 10 digits is valid.
If you still cannot determine the problem, run the
Communications Test (in Maintenance mode).
