– Shift gear to neutral.

Push the chain upward at a distance

from the chain sliding guard and determine
the chain tension


must be taut.
Chain wear is not always even. Repeat this measurement at different chain posi-
tions.
Chain tension 5 mm (0.2 in)
Distance to chain sliding guard 30 mm (1.18 in)
