Thezero‐mid‐spandriftcheckisanautomaticcalibrationmodewhereboth4‐20mAAnalog
Outputchannelsreportstandardzero,mid,andhighvaluesforcheckingthecalibrationofthe
deviceanditsdatarecordingsignalchain.See“SpecifyingDriftCheckTriggers”onpage 6‐2for
additionalinformation.
This
configurationisfortheinternaltimertoinitiatetheDriftCheckataspecifiedinterval.Ithas
noeffectontriggeringtheDriftCheckfunctionfromModbusorthedigitalinput.
Note Thezero‐mid‐spandriftcheckandsensorpurgefeaturescanbe
configuredtoautomaticallytriggeronauser‐configuredinterval.Ifboth
featuresareONandscheduledtorunatthesametime,thefeatureswill
runconsecutively,notconcurrently.
ToaccesstheDriftCheckSetupmenu:
1> PressP.
2> EntertheAdvancedaccesscode,andthenpressE.
3> Press 2toinvoketheQuickJumpoption.
4> Press23fortheDriftCheckSetupmenu,andthenpressE.

ApromptappearsforsettingautomaticdriftONorOFF.

WhenAUTODRIFTCHECKisON,thepromptappearsfortheDriftCheckInterval.
Thisparameterdefinestheperiodicinterval(inhours)thatthedriftchecksequence
willbeinitiatedbytheinternaltimer.Theintervalcanbebetween1to18000hours.
Thefactorydefaultis16hours.

PressPtoskiptothepromptwithoutmakingchanges.
Aseriesofpromptsappearforeachdriftchecktestlevel(zero‐mid‐span)regardingthe
amplitudeoftheoutputsignalanditsduration.
Theamplitudeis
givenasapercentoftheFSoftheindependentvoltagesource(3.3V).
Inthefollowingexample,10.0%meansthat0.33V(10%of3.3V)willbeappliedtothe
circuitinputsthataremeasuredandreportedatthe4‐20 mAoutputforthedriftcheck
atzero.
