2. Installation
2.1 Introduction
The information in this chapter describes the Flowmaster installation
procedure:
1 Unpack the Flowmaster
2 Install your computer
3 Install the Flowmaster software
4 Install the flowmeter
5 Register the flowmeter
6 Select the uroflow procedure
7 Test the flowmeter
2.2 Unpack the Flowmaster
The complete Flowmaster consists of the following equipment:
• Flowmeter which includes flowsensor, adjustable flow stand (optional),
funnel and urine container.
• USB or CD-ROM with Flowmaster software and Widcomm Bluetooth
software.
• Bluetooth dongle.
• 4x battery type AA alkaline (1.5 Volt) to power the flowsensor.
• Optionally, an AC power supply to power the flowsensor.
2.3 System Security
To protect patient data and ensure the integrity of your Flowmaster system,
you should always employ IT-industry security best practices. The Flowmaster
system incorporates data security features that work in conjunction with the
security practices in use by your healthcare facility.
IMPORTANT
Only connect the Flowmaster system to a managed and
secure IT-Network.
