4.2.1.6 Safety System
The JUNO 150 has a safety system to (page 2-8):
• Protect people and animals against mechanical hazards by a set of
interlocking safety devices that stop the JUNO 150 immediately when
hit or openened:
• Emergency stop button
• Protection ring
• Safety bracket
• Interlocking lid.
• Warn people and animals by acoustic warning device
• Ensure that a fault in the hardware or software does not lead to
hazardous situations:
• Hardware safety protection
• Software controlled charging system
• Overload protection of the drive motors
• Fused control system.
• Protect people during maintenance:
• Sealed maintenance-free battery
• Battery stop to disconnect the battery.
4.2.1.7 Control System
The control system has the following parts:
• Multiboard PCB
• Encoders
• Ultrasonic sensor
• Gyroscope (embedded on the multiboard pcb)
• Inductive sensor.
All the parts work together to keep the JUNO 150 on the correct route.
Multiboard PCB
The multiboard pcb hosts the management software and controls
driving mechanism, the power system, and the shock system. It has a
gyroscope installed on it.
The multiboard pcb is installed in a box on the frame.
The E-Link manual controller, all sensors, interlocks and the emergency
stop button are connected to it.The cables for the multiboard pcb are:
• The connector to the E-Link
• The power supply cable
• The cables to the motors
• The cables to the encoders
• The ultrasonic sensor cable
• The inductive sensor cable
• The cable tot the power energizer.
• The emergency stop button cable
• The cable to the interlocking protection ring
• The cable to the interlocking guard
• The cable to the interlocking lid.
