Ifyouarereplacingaservercomponentintheserver,youneedtoslidetheserveroutfromtherack
enclosure,turnofftheserverandperipheraldevices,anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
Toremovethe2.5-inchhot-swapharddiskdrivebackplane,completethefollowingsteps:
Step1.Removethecover(see“Removingthecover”onpage157).
Step2.Pulltheharddiskdrivesorfillersoutoftheserverslightlytodisengagethemfromtheharddisk
drivebackplane(see“Removingahot-swapharddiskdrive”onpage172).
Step3.Liftthebluetabonthebackplanetodisengageandremovethebackplanefromthechassis.
