3 PROGRAMMING
3.1 Master Set
The MASTER SETS are groups of real masters used to zero and adjust the sensitivity on
the programmed characteristics. Each set can be created using one (
ZEROING ONLY),
two (min/max mastering - S
ENSITIVITY) or three masters (ZEROING & SENSITIVITY). For each
master it is possible to program a master value, a S
ERIAL NUMBER and a MESSAGE to
guide the operator during the acquisition.
From the menu, select PROGRAMS then MASTER SET to access the
M
ASTER SET LIST PAGE, where it is possible to use one of the following
functions:
• A
DD: to create a new MASTER SET.
• E
DIT: to modify an existing MASTER SET
• DEL: to delete a MASTER SET
• COPY: to create a new MASTER SET by copying an existing one
NOTE: this feature causes the loss of Z
EROING/SENSITIVITY compatibility. It
means that in case of a Merlin software updating, the M
ASTER SET fields
need to be programmed and a new Z
EROING/SENSITIVITY acquisition must
be performed prior to restart the production.
3.1.1 Miscellaneous TAB
When creating a new MASTER SET access the MISCELLANEOUS in order to define the
basic M
ASTER SET information.
