1. Create and Name a folder on the PC’s main storage drive (C:/stats_meas)
2. Right-Click on the folder and select “
SHARING AND SECURITY” options
3. Place a check mark in the “S
HARE THIS FOLDER ON THE NETWORK”
4. Place a check mark in the “A
LLOW NETWORK USERS TO CHANGE MY FILES”
5. A file sharing folder icon now appears on the folder
Gauging Software Set-up (on the Merlin)
1. Boot up Merlin application
2. Enter Global Set-up Form
3. Click on the “E
XPORT DEFAULT PATH” entry box”
Enter the following: \\computer name\created folder’s name\
4. Press Enter
5. Set Automatic data export to “M
EASUREMENTS AND STATISTICS”
6. Set Automatic Change, Data Export format and Statistical Study preferences
7. Press OK
8. Go to Batch Definition page and set Automatic Data Export to “M
EASUREMENTS AND
S
TATISTICS” and choose Automatic preferences
9. Press OK
10. The Merlin is now set up to send Measurement & Statistical information to the PC
NOTE: a “Computer Name” “User” “Password” screen may appear at the
first batch exchange. If this window appears, enter the name of the computer
(this can be found by right-clicking ‘My Computer’).
