The following functions for determining the minimum and maximum values between
operands are available (T
RANSDUCERS and/or CHARACTERISTICS and/or constants):
• M
IN: function for determining the minimum value among N operands; e.g. Min
(T1,T2,T3).
• M
AX: function for determining the maximum value among N operands; e.g.
Max (M1,M4).
Up to 10 comma separated values are permitted.
The following dynamic calculation functions are available for use on all the values
acquired during the measurement:
• D
MAX: dynamic maximum function
• D
MIN: dynamic minimum function
• D
AVE: dynamic mean function for all the acquired values
• D
RNG: dynamic range function (maximum - minimum).
These functions may be applied to individual transducers or measurements.
The following simulation functions are available:
• R
ND: function that generates random values.
• N
RND: random function values with normal distribution.
• G
RND: random function values with Gamma distribution; select the (>0) para-
meter to obtain exponential distributions (=1) that resemble more closely the
classic “bell curve” the more they increase.
The following manual input functions are available:
• IN: the operator can manually input a measurement for the C
HARACTERISTIC.
The following logic functions are available:
MMODE(): returns 1 during the measurement phase and 0 during the zeroing
phase.
ZMODE(): returns 1 during the zeroing phase and 0 during the measurement
phase.
NOTE: The Merlin can carry out manual dynamic acquisitions. The perfor-
mances may change according to the number of the used channels.
