2. DESCRIPTION OF THE SYSTEM COMPONENTS
The MIDA WRS system with radio transmission consists of one or more WRP transmitters (available in
WRP45 and WRP60 versions) or WRTS transmitters that transmit the data to a receiver with integrated
interface, directly connected to the machine tool’s CNC.
Such a system is able to handle two types of applications (using the same WRI Receiver and a choice of up
to 4 WRP and WRTS devices):
• WRI + WRP
• WRI + WRP + WRTS
(probing cycle + tool setting)
The receiver (WRI) is able to handle both the applications through its own integrated interface, suitably
programmed.
Below there are listed the main components of the system:

A. WRP:
a1 – Transmitter;
a2 – Touch probe;
a3 – Stylus;
B. WRTS:
b1 – Transmitter;
b2 – Touch probe;
b3 – Stylus;
C. WRI Receiver with integrated interface.
D. Swivel support for receiver (optional).
E. Screened cable (12 wires + shield) of either 5m, 10m, 15m or 30m for connection to the NC.
