Remove service panel (See page 4-16).
Disconnect wire connector to ignitor.
Hold bracket and remove the 5/16” hex
head screw to remove bracket and ignitor.
Remove ignitor from bracket by removing
the 5/16” hex head screw.
 Do not touch the dark ignitor end, skin
oil will make a hot spot on the ignitor causing it
to fail prematurely.
 Take care not to bump or tap the
ignitor. It is made of carborundum, which is
harder than steel but is extremely brittle.

Remove service panel (See page 4-16).
Remove the jumper between the high temp
thermostat and the high temp cutout.
Remove the blue wire connector from the
spade terminal.
Remove the 1/4” hex head screw and lift to
release the tab on the other side.
 The high temp cutout is not resettable,
it will disable the heat if it trips.
 If the high temp cutout is being
replaced, the high temp thermostat should
be replaced as well, since the high temp
thermostat should have shut the heat off
before the dryer reached the temperature at
which the high temp cutout would trip.
