14 Monitoring IBP
(for uMEC12/uMEC15)
14.1 Introduction
The monitor can monitor up to 2 invasive blood pressures and displays the systolic, diastolic
and mean pressures and a waveform for each pressure.
14.2 Safety
WARNING
z Use only pressure transducers specified in this manual. Never reuse disposable
pressure transducers.
z Make sure that the applied parts never contact other conductive parts.
z To reduce the hazard of burns during high-frequency surgical procedure, ensure
that the monitor’s cables and transducers never come into contact with the
high-frequency surgical units.
z When using accessories, their operating temperature should be taken into
consideration. For details, refer to instructions for use of accessories.
z The neutral electrode of the electro-surgery unit (ESU) shall properly contact the
patient. Otherwise, burns may result.
