Brake booster comes in three types: 230 mm (9
in.), 180 + 205 mm (7 + 8 in.) and 205 + 230 mm
(8 + 9 in.) diameter ones. An appropriate one of
them is used to each model variation. The tandem
type boosters have two diaphragms each. The two-

diaphragm configuration can utilize a doubled pres-
sure difference between the vacuum and the atmo-
spheric pressure, so that a large boosting effect
can be obtained with a small outside diameter, there-
by contributing to size and weight reduction.
