The oil pan is a single-plane design, and is
constructed of stamped antiphon steel.
The rear main oil seal is a one-piece lip seal that
requires a special sleeve for installation. A new seal

to prevent seal rollover.

OIL PUMP
The oil pump is located at the front of the engine
block, and is driven by the crankshaft. The pump
housing is made of cast aluminum, provides a guide

for the timing belt, and includes the crankshaft front
seal.
