IGMP Snooping

ip igmp snooping This command enables IGMP snooping globally on the switch or on a selected
VLAN interface. Use the no form to disable it.
Syntax
[no] ip igmp snooping [vlan vlan-id]
vlan-id - VLAN ID (Range: 1-4093)

Command Usage
â—† When IGMP snooping is enabled globally, the per VLAN interface settings for
IGMP snooping take precedence.
â—† When IGMP snooping is disabled globally, snooping can still be configured per
VLAN interface, but the interface settings will not take effect until snooping is
re-enabled globally.
Example
The following example enables IGMP snooping globally.
Console(config)#ip igmp snooping
Console(config)#
ip igmp snooping
proxy-reporting
This command enables IGMP Snooping with Proxy Reporting. Use the no form to
restore the default setting.
Syntax
ip igmp snooping proxy-reporting
ip igmp snooping vlan vlan-id proxy-reporting {enable | disable}
no ip igmp snooping [vlan vlan-id] proxy-reporting
vlan-id - VLAN ID (Range: 1-4093)
enable - Enable on the specified VLAN.
disable - Disable on the specified VLAN.
Default Setting
Global: Disabled
VLAN: Based on global setting
