Paging
Enables extension users to broadcast announcements to speakers in key-
sets and/or to a customer-provided paging system. There are two types of
Paging: Internal Paging and External Paging. With Internal Paging, an
extension user can broadcast into 1 of 7 Internal Paging zones, or simul-
taneously into all zones (termed All Call Paging). With External Paging,
announcements into internal zone 1 or internal All Call automatically
broadcast from the system’s External Paging audio port (which is typi-
cally connected to a customer-provided Paging system).

Park
Places an outside (trunk) call into a waiting state called a Park Orbit. An
extension user can Park a call in one of 10 System Park Orbits, or use
Personal Park to have the call wait at a specific extension.

Password Protection
See

PBX/Centrex
Compatibility
The system is compatible with PBX and Centrex services that require the
user to dial an access code before the digits for their outside call.

Personal Speed Dial
See Speed Dial on page 150 in this glossary.
Prime Line Preference
Allows a keyset user to place or answer a call just by lifting the handset.
The activation of Prime Line Preference is associated in system pro-
gramming with a particular key on the telephone. If the association is
with a line or loop key, the extension has Idle Prime Line. If the associa-
tion is with the ICM key, the extension has Intercom Prime Line.

Privacy

attempts and Call Waiting signals.

A group of extensions that can join in each other’s outside (trunk) calls
just be pressing a busy line key. The number of group members that can
join the call is limited only by the system’s Conference capacity.
