Utilities Provided by EXPRESSBUILDER
The following utilities can be started when choosing Utilities from Home Menu.
(1) Starter Pack installation (only on Internal Flash Memory)
Installs Starter Pack to the installed Windows. This feature is only supported when using Internal Flash Memory.
Starter Pack is usually installed from Autorun menu.
Tips
Starter Pack is automatically installed when Windows is installed by using
EXPRESSBUILDER.
(2) RAID configuration data
Saves or loads the configuration data on a RAID controller.
You can save the data to Internal Flash Memory when Internal Flash Memory is installed.
(3) File execution
Directly runs an external utility on removable media. Use this feature only for utilities provided by NEC.
Note
Do not run the file provided the third party.
(4) Internal Flash Memory (only on disc)
Manages Internal Flash Memory with the following commands:
a) Check the status
Checks whether Internal Flash Memory is installed and accessible. POST message will be changed
depending on the result of this command. The commands (4)-b) and (4)-c) below can be run when Internal
Flash Memory is detected.
Connected: EXPERSSBUILDER can be started by pressing <F3> key. "<F3> Internal Flash
Memory" is displayed on the screen.
Not connected: EXPERSSBUILDER cannot be started by pressing <F3> key. "<F3> Internal
Flash Memory" is not displayed on the screen.
b) Initialize
Clears the data in Internal Flash Memory and initializes (formats) it. Note that all data in Internal Flash
Memory is deleted.
c) Update
Copies the data of the EXPRESSBUILDER disc or other media to Internal Flash Memory. The data is
overwritten and all the previous data is cleared
.
Tips
The parameter file and RAID configuration data are retained.
