placeandanswercallsonyourPrivateLine.YourCommunicationsManagercantellyouifyouhaveaPri-
vateLine.
If You Hear a Warning Tone
Whileonanoutsidecall,youmayhearoccasionalbeepsthroughyourspeakerorhandset.Thesetones
remindyouthatyouhavebeenonthecallalongtime.
How Prime Line Works
IfyouhavePrimeLine,youcanplaceoransweracallonaspecificlinejustbyliftingthehandset.With
OutgoingPrimeLinePreference,yougetdialtoneonyourPrimeLinewhenyouliftthehandset.Thishap-
pensevenifanothercallisringingin.Ifyouusuallyneedtoplacecalls,OutgoingPrimeLinePreference
mayhelpyou.
WithIncomingPrimeLinePreference,liftingthehandsetanswersaringingcall.Ifyouwanteasyanswer-
ingofincomingcalls,IncomingPrimeLinePreferencemaybeforyou.
