YoumaybeabletoactivateNightServicefortheUX5000.Usedafternormalworkinghours,NightService
redirectsyourUX5000'sincomingcallstowheretheyshould ringatnight.Forexample,whenmostofyour
co-workershaveleftforhome,yourUX5000mayredirectcallstothesecuritydesk.Whenyouactivate
NightService,selectoneofeightmodesofoperation:
• DayMode-normalworkinghours.
• NightMode-afterhours(usuallyevening).
• MidnightMode-lateatnighttoearlyinthemorning.
• RestMode-lunchandearlyevening(dinnertime).
• DayMode2-normalworkinghours.
• NightMode2-afterhours(usuallyevening).
•
MidnightMode2-lateatnighttoearlyinthemorning.
• RestMode2-lunchandearlyevening(dinnertime).
TherearetwotypesofNightServiceringingforoutsidecalls:AssignedNightAnswer(ANA)andUniversal
NightAnswer(UNA).WithANA,specificterminalsareprogrammedtoringatnight(likethesecuritydeskin
theexampleabove).UNAcausesincomingcallstoringovertheExternalPagingspeakers.Ifyourexten-
sionhasalinekeyforthecall,justpressthelinekeytopickuptheUNAcall.Inaddition,youmaybeable
todialtheUniversalAnswerCodetopickupcallsforwhichyoudon'thavelinekeys.
YourUX5000mayswitchNightServicemodesautomatically.CheckwithyourCommunicationsManagerif
thishappens,andwhentheswitch-overoccurs.
