Defining PLC Communications
Profinet, Ethernet/IP and Modbus TCP are natively supported and do not
require you to install a communication card.
S Refer to Connecting Profinet, Ethernet IP and Mod BUS/TCP for
more information.
S For all other communication cards, refer to documentation that came with
the communication kit for installation and setup instructions. You can also
get the appropriate instruction sheet for your communication card from
the BBconn Cloud Media Center.

1. Log into your BBconn Cloud account, then do the following:
S Select SETUP TOOL - create or load a .NOR file.
S Select SYSTEM SETTINGS | NETWORKING | SPECIFIC
NETWORK.
2. Do the following to continue:
S For Profinet, enter the Profinet Station Name - the Profinet device name.
The default name is pbflex-pnio.
S The Profinet station name must follow these guidelines:
‐ Can contain letters and numbers
‐ Letters must be lower case
‐ Can contain a hyphen (-) or a period (.)
‐ Cannot begin or end with a hyphen (-)
‐ Cannot begin with the character string "port-xyz" (x, y, z = 0 to 9)
‐ Cannot have the form of an IP address n.n.n.n (n = 0 - 255)
3. When done, select SAVE.
